  2. Hello Boys, Sorry that this is OT from episode 351, but I been binge-ing on back episodes of Sneaky D, Full Marx and Compleatly Beatles. I can’t get enough. Thanks!! You guys have become my two favorite road companions.
Ian– on a recent back episode you talked about enjoying “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”. On your recommendation, I watched it and liked it also. But as an aficionado of 1950s culture and music, One thing really bothered me. You probably can relate to this as a writer. I found it very lazy writing that they had the characters saying so many phrases that did not exist in 1958. I noted these examples, I’d be interested to hearing your take on it.
“Nerd Alert!” in the basement of the music store.
    “Life’s a bitch”
“”I don’t want all the drama” meaning inter-personal conflict, not theatre productions.
    “Get with the Program”
    “Just calling to touch base”
“I don’t think that’s a a thing.” Meaning it’s not a recognized… whatever… None of these phrases were in use until at least the 1980s or later. Sounds like lazy writing to me. Thanks so much for all you guys do!!!
