Dear Lezah, Dave, horse lovers and mystery lovers… Sorry to hear that Lezah was poorly last week, but Dave did a fine job filling in and also heroically resisting the obvious dad joke about ‘feeling a little hoarse’. As one dad to another, I’m sure that can’t have been easy.

Episode 3 was another great yarn in what is shaping up to be an excellent season of Horse Mysteries. I appreciate you having a go at debunking the alien theory, but surely only a flying saucer could possibly have caused the circle of flattened vegetation near where poor Lady / Snippy was found? And once you realise that the two college boys with guns were actually extra terrestrials, the truth cannot be hidden any longer!

On the question of British pronunciation – over here we say UFO as three letters, just like you folks. Why the UFO Club was pronounced differently, I don’t know, though there’s kind of a parallel in the famous London folk club Les Cousins, which also flourished in the 1960s and was spoken of as ‘Lez Cuzzinz’ for reasons lost in the mists of time.
