Hey, Sneaky friends, this is the links post for Sneaky Dragon Episode 30. I’m a little behind because I was getting ready for and then going on my trip to Britain with the wife and kids. Ian had posted some great clips for that episode and I felt guilty that they weren’t available on the website for any of you who might not follow us on Facebook, which you can easily do by clicking “Like” here.
First up, we spent some time talking about my thick hair that grows in a strict radiating away from my head pattern, which of course brought us directly to:
That is one confusing trailer! What the hell is going on? Plus, they left out the best song: Frank Mills. (Fred Willard did the quick intro and outro though – in case you didn’t recognize his voice.) Doing a little research, I’ve discovered that they left the song out of the movie! Here it is, in a wonderful performance on a TV sitcom I’ve never heard of by Kathleen Wilhoite:
Did you notice a very young George Clooney in that?
We also talked about my acting career, including a brief time as Newton on Hercules.
“People are safe when near him”? He just destroyed the sun with an arrow!
Ian and I couldn’t believe that a restaurant with this name ever existed!
Apparently the name originally started as a combination of the owners’ names, but the company soon started to associate itself with the story. Oh, more innocent times!
Ian maintains that the only way to win at Mortal Kombat is to marry Goro. (I hope you get that because it makes no sense to me.) Here is someone trying to win the wrong way:
Ian made me watch that movie when it came out. I still remember that horrible music. The rest is a blur though.
Apparently this is your brain on drugs:
“Any questions?” “Yes, isn’t that an egg in a frying pan?”
We talked about how Sneaky Dragon makes money. None of our business models work like this:
Was Adam Corolla testifying in court?
This is a little closer to our current model for monetizing Sneaky Dragon:
We talked about church choirs and they’re love of the Gloria. Like this:
Remember when pop stars looked like real people? I do! Now they look like this:
My daughter Eve thinks she’s scary.
We gave a shout out to Kyle Baker during the show. Let’s continue our shout out!
He’s a visionary and I constantly feel left behind when I read an interview with him. This didn’t help.
Here’s the trailer for his upcoming animated feature based on his graphic novel, King David:
Ian says, “As usual, Monty Python was mentioned.” It was probably me.
One of those sketches that both open your mind to great art and make masturbation and tit jokes as well.
Here’s a beer that Canadian dads and uncles loved to drink when we were kids. Some of them maybe too much.
How did that ugly guy end up with that beautiful wife? (Well, I guess that’s a question we ask in real life too.)
Finally, Ian and I talked quite a bit about heaven, which may or may not be all in your mind.
And on that note, we’ll say goodbye till next time!
