Dave was a little confused with his memory of the deleted scene at the beginning of A Charlie Brown Christmas, which features Linus sliding into a Coca-Cola sign, not Snoopy sliding into a Coca-Cola truck. Dave has been thoroughly beaten up and made to wash the latrines.
Thanks for listening.

Forgot about one of my favourite secret sequels, Gross Point Blank as a sequel to Say Anything.
Best sequel and favorite film of ALL TIME is The Empire Strikes Back, it was probably the best payoff and film experience for me as a Star Wars fan. I still watch this film and it feels new to me, I cannot explain this but I embrace it. Runner up would be Star Trek: Wrath of Khan which was a sequel and radically improved the future of the Star Trek franchise from Star Trek The Motionless Picture. I wasn’t a fan of Star Trek until I saw Wrath of Khan, it was a life changing film.
Worst sequels? Think of all the great comedies that try to capture the same magic with a sequel…and fail. Anchorman, Caddyshack II, The Hangover Part II, Weekend at Bernies II, Major League II, Horrible Bosses 2 and Splash, Too just to name a few. The only thing worse would be to create a television show from one…except for M*A*S*H* of course….
Vacations for me are what you make of them. I’ve been on the kind you want a plan for seeing things and I’ve also been on a vacation where you relax and do nothing, that was the perfect trip to Colorado in the Summer. So I’ve done both for reasons of getting the most from my trip…or just slacking off completely. Even a staycation is needed sometimes.
For some sad news and the reason for not writing last week, after ten days of home hospice and complications with related blood and bone marrow issues, my beautiful Mom passed away this past Saturday. The focus is on Dad now since he took care of everything for Mom. When I arrived on Saturday night after her passing, along with my kids and their spouses, Dad had his hand on Mom’s head and said, “We’re both free now, she’s free of illness and pain and I’m free of the burden from that pain. Free to move on.” And that was it, perfectly said by my Dad of few words. If you pray and send kind thoughts, send them for my Dad, he’s earned it.
Enough for now, I think it does me well to let everyone I know this…
Hug one another, life is short. Love to all.
