Hola, Sneakers! Welcome to Sneaky Dragon – the podcast no one is talking about!
This week: the terminator; the three ghosts of podcasting; Krofts men; theme time; smoke pit memories; the real 80’s; Taxi writer; some modern Shakespeare; copyrights and wrongs; unboxing days; much TV; sinking to reality; earning questions; inflatable houses; cocooning; tree time; school movies; dead or alive; Jerry’s ads; Bizarre thoughts; remembering Ernie; sound thinking; meet the Beatles; mass appeal; it’s a hard time of the year for perfectionists; Santa tracker; Question of the Week – Sneakers respond; the show must throw up; horse actors; and, finally, go Yorga way.
Question of the Week: What ingredients would go into a Sneaky Dragon cocktail?
Sub-question of the Week: Are you the kind of person who buys things and lets them pile up? What kind of things do you amass?
Thanks for listening.

I have to open my packages right away to see if they sent the right items and if they work or fit properly. Maybe that’s a Pandora thing. I like odd knickknacks, so that’s what accumulates on my dresser top and bookshelves making them hard to dust.
My Sneaky Dragon drink would be some sort of layered shot. Something green for the dragon – like crème de menthe. And because you love talking about chocolate bars, some crème de cacao. It might taste like an After Eight…which is okay because I suspect it is often after eight by the time you finish recording your podcast. Then maybe a little bit of high proof rum on top so you can set it on fire? Can you ask Jason if that would that work?
Season’s Greetings everyone from the limbo between Christmas and New Year’s!
Answering the question from two episodes ago, I was thirteen in 1978 which puts me into that sweet spot between “Star Wars” and “The Empire Strikes Back”. I was still seeing one on the screen and looking forward to the next in late 1978. If there was one film that really was the GOAT that year it would have to be “Superman The Movie”, The Godfather of Super Hero films. I wasn’t the biggest DC fan at the time but I really loved that film and I still watch it with great awe and respect. Gene Hackman goes down as the greatest Lex Luthor too, doesn’t get any better than him.
Louise stole my thunder with the crème de menthe idea, but my backup was a drink I see at a local restaurant called a swamp water, check it out here: https://www.reddit.com/r/cocktails/comments/ociwi7/swamp_water/
Copied and Pasted:
This cucumber gimlet is the perfect drink on a hot summer day and it’s so simple – 2oz gin of choice – 1oz fresh cucumber juice – 1/2oz lemongrass syrup – 3/4oz lime juice – A few mint or basil leaves (I think basil might better) – Shake and strain – Garnish with a swamp worm 🐛 The lemongrass syrup is very simple as well. Equal parts sugar and water and about 10 individual lemongrass leaves (not 10 stalks)
Dave, did you hit the nail on my balding head when you asked if I let things pile up…I have so many collectible figures and statues I need to open and rotate onto my limited shelves! You want proof? Check out this interview with my buddy Todd for Spectrum 1 News from May of 2021, I actually point out the corner of my room and say, “I promise you, every collector has this corner of the room where their collectibles pile up.” Go to the 2:50 mark below to see it:

I’ve since taken over my stepson’s room who moved out and it’s now filling up with Marvel Legends figures, DC McFarlane figures, Indiana Jones Adventure series figures, Funko Pops and of course, Star Wars Black Series figures. I’m still working on getting all the “Return of the Jedi” 40th collection.
I may have a problem.
Ah, I’ll solve that later. For now, allow me to raise a glass and toast the greatest podcast around and the dedication from both Ian and David for another year of Sneaky Dragon!
Cheers to all my fellow Sneakers as well! Happy 2024!
See you all next year or around the barber shop….
