  1. For some strange reason I’m able to get by on less sleep than what is normally called for. I’m pretty much a night owl that stays up late to either work on my computer, watch TV or do whatever needs getting done. I think the takeaway is that when I’m ready to sleep, I’m able to do so in a few minutes. If I get less sleep during the week because I have to be up at 7:30 for work, I fill up on the weekend by sleeping in. Somewhere a gamer is playing a video game of my life with the energy bar at the top of the screen depleting and filling up on Saturdays and Sundays, but really, what a boring video game.

I deal with an excessive amount of stress due to the soul crushing world of subjectivity I work in each day, so the ability to reverse that is important. I tried arguing with complete strangers on Facebook about Star Wars but that was a mistake. I’m not a drinker, so that’s out. So I took a dive back into the basics of what had a calming effect on me as a kid. Drawing helps while listening to music. I listen to the classical music station in the car but only after I’ve run out of Sneaky Dragon podcasts to listen to. Rocking my female cat Charlie while she trills for me is great, but the best medicine for extreme stress I found is to just go to the movies alone for a few hours…it works every time. I posted an article on Facebook about this, I’ll post it here as well.

  2. Sorry, more hotdog talk: the reason why we find David’s 3-dog habit insane is because every time Bob and I eat there, we share an order of waffle fries, each get one hot dog, and struggle to finish our food. As we’re finishing up our last bites of dog we say “how did David eat three of these?!” I want listeners to know that these dogs are LOADED with stuff! If you ever go to Vancouver, go to What’s Up Hot Dog and I dare you to do the Dedrick 3-Dog Challenge!

    1. I also want to point out that on that 3-dog night, when the server brought David his dogs they thought it was for the whole table.
