With David Lasky. This week Ian and David were in Seattle at the Emerald City Comic Con so cartoonist David Lasky (Boom Boom, Urban Hipster, The Carter Family: Don’t Forget This Song) stepped into Sneaky Dragon HQ (i.e., David’s hotel room) – forcing David to change his name. Ian, David and no longer David spent some time discussing their early careers in mini comics; Ian thinks he is too productive; No longer David thinks he was too unproductive; David got it just right; Ian is discomforted by crime; David tells us about James Joyce and Ulysses; No longer David is a terrible self-promoter; David tells us how to get an agent; how to get a book deal; and how to run a super successful Kickstarter campaign; No longer David and Ian listen in awe. Also, despite a professed disinterest, they make David talk about the Carter Family.
David also has an Etsy shop, which you can check out here.
And here is David being interviewed in one of Inkstuds‘ series of video interviews.
Thanks for listening!
